About Us
Without a doubt, Christian Abt belongs to the species with petrol running through his veins. An inherited passion. Even his grandfather was involved with cars. His father Johann caused a sensation as a "young wild man from Allgäu" on racetracks throughout Europe and was - like his son Christian, born in 1967 - an inventor who meticulously optimized technology and thus laid the foundation for today's globally successful vehicle tuner ABT Sportsline, laid.
Christian Abt followed in his father's footsteps. As an active racing driver, he collected titles in the three most important circuit categories - formula, touring and sports cars. The man from the Allgäu celebrated on the podium at the 24-hour classics at the Nürburgring and in Le Mans. He not only impressed with his driving talent, as a qualified master mechanic he also brought a lot of technical know-how with him. A strength that Christian Abt used for many years as Technical Director of ABT Sportsline and also when he switched from the cockpit to the command post on the pit wall as team boss.
Five team titles in the ADAC GT Masters underline that Christian Abt has real managerial qualities in addition to driving skills and a high level of technical expertise.
